Dear Parents and Community Members,
I hope this letter finds you well. As we prepare for the upcoming school year, I would like to inform you of several important changes that will be implemented to enhance our educational environment and ensure the safety and security of our students and staff.
Firstly, please note that the new school hours will be from 7:45 AM to 3:55 PM. It is essential that students arrive on time, as learning will begin promptly at 7:45 AM. We believe this adjustment will contribute to a more productive and focused school day.
Secondly, for the safety of our students and staff, the front doors of both campuses will be open to allow access to the vestibules. However, unless a parent or community member has a scheduled meeting with a staff member or is assisting with a student's medical emergency, they will not be permitted entry into the school building during school hours. Additionally, parents bringing lunch to students at the Jr/Sr High campus should leave the lunch on the table in the vestibule and clearly label the bag or container with the student's name, either by writing directly on the bag or using a sticky note.
Thirdly, we are pleased to announce that the Crowley County Virtual Education Academy (CCVEA) has been relocated to the main campus. Online students who need to visit the campus for assistance must arrange this with Mrs. Cain in advance so they can be placed on a list and Mrs. Maier can be notified of their presence on campus.
These changes are being implemented to improve the overall safety and security of our school community. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work towards providing a safe learning environment for all.
In the coming weeks, we will be scheduling an Accountability Community meeting to discuss the state accountability data that will be released this month. We encourage your participation and look forward to your valuable input.
Thank you for your continued support of Crowley County School District RE-1J.
Sincerely,
Juan Ramirez, Jr
Superintendent
Crowley County School District RE-1J
