Accredited

Good afternoon Crowley County community members, parents, students, staff, and Charger Alumni! I want to begin this letter by giving you all the wonderful news that Crowley County School District RE-1J has moved from Accredited with an Improvement Plan on our accountability rating to Accredited!!! We have moved from yellow to green on the chart!! Our Elementary campus that was on Turnaround for a few years went from Turnaround status to Performance in ONE YEAR!! Our secondary campus continues to stay steady and provide us another year of being in Performance as well!!

Great things are happening at Crowley County School District. Since 2009, our district has been rated fourteen times. In 2015 we did not receive a rating. In those fourteen years, we have only been accredited twice prior to 2023. It is the job of our district to build on the success of what we have worked for this past year. We need to move our district up the ladder to the next academic achievement level and be rated as a district that is Distinct. We cannot become complacent with our success this year. We cannot lull ourselves into believing we have made it to the top. There is still a lot of work to do, but this is just the beginning of what is to come for our district, staff, students, and community.

Celebrate with us, our staff, and our students on moving up the accountability ratings ladder!! Celebrate that our district has received the rating of Accredited!!! Thank you all for your support and we look forward to being able to share more information with you at our upcoming community meeting when we dive into the data more. Please make sure you are looking for when we have this meeting scheduled and come learn about the work we have done and the work we will be doing to now go from being Accredited to Distinct!! Let’s Go Chargers!!!

Juan Ramirez,
Superintendent of Crowley County School District
